AGILEVR

AgileVR is a wearable sensor exoskeleton which senses your movements and allows you to interact with VR using your whole body. Each module has haptic feedback, is Bluetooth enabled and battery powered for ease of use. Each module can be used separately or together to form a full system. Click on the modules to learn more.

The knee module is an exoskeleton worn across the knee in a very similar way to a knee brace. Each knee module has one degree of freedom to pick up the main movement at the knee, and a polycentric joint to reflect the anatomy of the human knee. The thigh contains an IMU which senses the orientation and movements of the thigh and together these give the major movements of the thigh and shin. This unit will be used for full body immersion in VR, and can be used for locomotion in games – see below.

The ankle module is an exoskeleton worn across the ankle in a similar way to high laced boot. Each ankle module has two degrees of freedom to pick up the main movements at the ankle. The unit contains 2 IMUs which senses the orientation and movements of the shin and foot. This module will be used for full body immersion in VR.
